Argo Group, in partnership with the Spencer Educational Foundation, is excited to announce Aleena Ukkan as the 2024 recipient of the Argo Group Diversity Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to students at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) who come from backgrounds that are traditionally underrepresented in the insurance industry.
- Ukkan is focused on transformative change in the insurance industry. The scholarship rewards not just academic achievement but real-world impacts, and Ukkan is motivated to make a tangible difference in people’s lives. “The insurance field offers an opportunity to… impact the lives of millions,” says Ukkan.
- Ukkan plans to increase insurance accessibility through actuarial science. Ukkan is passionate about healthcare accessibility, which led her to an insurance career. “As an actuary, I can help price plans to improve the affordability of procedures,” says Ukkan.
